The 2012 Range Rover Evoque may be in the beginning of its lifecycle, but that hasn't prevented it from influencing the rest of the Land Rover lineup. More specifically, the compact SUV is rumored to be the source of inspiration for a new performance-driven sub-brand, a current possibility for the British Automaker.
The Jaguar R moniker also had influence over the new Land Rover lineup, which would feature an edgier version of the Evoque, in addition to supercharged variants of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. These particular models already lead their class in style and technology, yet the perfectionist engineers at Land Rover always want to push the boundaries further. As Land Rover fans, we are always awaiting anxiously to see what they put out next.
Wanting to keep everything hush hush until all details are in order, the British automaker has remained tight lipped on any all specs and details. Actually, they really have yet to give confirmation that this model line-up will exist. The Global Brand Director of Land Rover, John Edwards, commented that the idea is merely under consideration.
Nonetheless, the Land Rover enthusiasts at Land Rover Manhattan, 787 11th Ave. New York, NY 10019 will continue to ponder the possibility of an even more aggressive lineup of SUVs from the brilliant minds at our favorite luxury automaker. Stay tuned, because you know we are going to keep you up to date on all the latest Land Rover news.
